Default OT - Would you let your gf drive the R?

Do you or would you let your gf/wife/significant other drive your R?

My girlfriend drove the R by herself (first time) last night, she loves the car but she is scared to drive it now cause she got rev on 2 times, and tailgated by a Tiburon where she was in a 50km zone doing 80km! And got a typical fly-by after from the Tiburon......

If I had a Hype-R, yes, I'd let almost anyone drive it. It is just a car afterall.

I bought a Yellow ITR 00 #795 for my gf to drive around. She loves it, understandably.

She's cool though...she's my dedicated street racing partner and hates it when we loose. I love her to death.

My gf wants to put her feet up on the dash and then gets her footprint on the window. She barely has rights to sit in my car, let alone drive it. I really don't care what the inside or outside of my R looks like, but stinky feet on the dash don't make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

She doesn't know (or care) how to drive manual transmissions, good for me. If she knew how to drive stick, well, maybe I would let her drive it. Damages are repairable at the driver's expense.. that' s my policy on driving my car! (notice I didn't say she can't drive stick)

I've taught my gf how to drive manual in the ITR a couple times. It's just a $20,000 car after all.

I think a car, to me at least, means more than just the value of the car. Don't you think so?

haha I figured my typo was obvious enough that people with half a brain could correct it. Therefore, I did not edit it, nor will I do so now.

That's true but if you take a step back and really think about what an ITR is in the overall scheme of life, then it becomes evident that it is just a car after all.

my g/f did drive it. First time driving a stick, she stalled once out of six times. I thought that was pretty good. She was just cruising around with me in the passenger seat and she turned into a high school near her house. She drove onto the ''range'' which is where drivers ed is taught.

This was during the weekend so I wondered what she was gonna do. There was this figure 8, and she went right on it and went and was going fast. I got sooo mad because I was getting dizzy and sick as hell!!!! . She kept doing the figure 8, and I had my head hanging out of the window with my eyes closed

Bef never drove it while I had it - no manual-tranny skills. I can think of maybe four people who drove it while I owned it. I was stingy with the goodness

I think Bef would be able to drive the Pig fine. It actually has torque to get it moving

And yes, Dave will let anyone drive his car. He let me slide it around at the ITR Expo

I'd let my girlfriend drive my car, wait a minute! j/k I personally wouldn't if I was a guy, not all girls can drive. My boyfriend's brother let his girlfriend drive his R, she came back with a totalled front end after rear ending someone cuz she was busy stuffing a joint in the sunvisor and burning the headliner
