PO720 and PO740 Code on 2000 Odyssey
Hi all,
Got a code of PO720 and PO740 on my 2000 Odyssey 3.5 v6 with 135,000 miles. Rebuilt the transmsission about 3 years ago and it is now out of warranty. The code came up after a 60 mile one way trip on the highway, and has been on ever since (about 2 months now).
Truck runs fine otherwise.
Am i doing damage by driving it like this?
Is a transmission rebuild the only way to correct this?
I would hate to get rid of it since I have maintained it meticuosly otherwise.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Was the original trans rebuilt, or replaced by Honda? If so they may goodwill some or all of the replacement as the 98-02 trans suffer from a pressure/flow issue.

720 is the speed sensor. Does your Speedometer not work?
