If you couldn't find any information, you obviously didn't look at all. It's a simple B swap. They're done all the time. Read the FAQ's sticky.

^good info looking and learning is the best but since the b16 came from an em1 all you need is the mount near the power steering form a si and the t bracket( some call it the l bracket) and shift forks and then you can use the stock 97 harness as long as its a 97 civic ex and then you just have to extend 2 wires and then the ecu.

WHY DO YOU SAY YOUR 97 CIVIC IS A SI MODEL?? SI WERE ONLY MADE 99-00 IF IT WAS AN SI THEN IT WOULD ALREADY HAVE A B16???

is your b16 obd2?(b16a2) i dont know if you guys have inspections like the u.s does but if you do and it is an a2 then everything should be plug and play in the 97 ex except a few mounts and shift forkks and the wire extension of 2 sensors.

it depends on if they converted the parts on the motor over to obd1 or not. you would have to swap everything to obd2 (injectors, alternator, distributor) or get adapter harnesses.
