What gloves do you use?
Seeing the talk about gloves in the best weld thread made me think about this.
What gloves do you guys use and what gloves have you tried but dont like?
I am just using the LWS house brand cheapy leather TIG and MIG gloves and my MIG gloves are getting to the point that they need to be replaced. They are Air Liquide house brand and the TIG gloves are fine but the MIG gloves seem to have a pretty crappy liner that pulls out easily once I start to sweat.
I have used mechanix gloves sometimes when Im working on a peice and just do a quick tack weld but I try not to because they melt pretty easily.
Sometimes I rest the left hand glove on a peice of aluminum so i can stabilize when I have to weld all extended and that glove is getting burnt and shrunk to all hell.

I've used leather mechanix type gloves for TIG, LWS house brand MIG and TIG. I like the mechanix type for dexterity but they are all pretty much the same to me.

I have a set of Miller Tig gloves, but I never used them. I bought some nice mechanic style ones from my supplier, and don't use anything else anymore. Nice sheepskin, but tight to the hand for best dexterity.

I just use the $10 goatskin ones from harbor freight. They're nice and grippy for manipulating rod plus they fit much more snug/less bulky than the cowhide ones. Then again I have smaller hands

$9! Use and abuse then replace! Great gloves for the money.
