i had window problems (off track) and when i went to go fix it, i had problems with the power windows working for a bit then shuts off (only driver side) so i wiggled the harness (door/fender harness) worked for like 5 min and then completely shuts off all power to the driver front door. i went to go start the car up, car wouldnt start (like low battery), waited for a bit and try to start the car again and starts right back up like normal but can not put it into gear. car ran fine/went into gear before all this window crap.

i also did notice that when i turn the car to the on position only the battery light comes on no check engine light. also there is no rpm's when car is started dead at 0 rpms. also when the car is started and driver side door is open, sometimes that beeping noise comes on but if i keep wiggling that harness itll shut off (should only beep when car is on the ON position only not when started).

what could be my problem? i pulled the complete dash out already tried to wiggle the whole inside harness but still cant get the car to go into gear.

 

You have a ground wire issue somewhere most likely. Check all the grounds the go to the engine, tranny, body, battery.

 

i pulled that harness out (at the door) and found a few wires that were pulled out/broken off. but why would it cause it not go into gear? cause thats all i touched

anyone selling a harness? i need the harness that goes thru the driver door into the interior (floor harness???)

 

I don't know why it would unless there is a safety that will not let it go into gear if it thinks the door is open. I really don't know
