I have a 1990 honda crx and I was replacing my distributor because it went out on me. I bought a 5 pin and 2pin TD-O1U distributor but my old distributor was a 7pin and 2pin TD-O2.

My Honda has a wiring harness to fit a 7 pin but can I condense it to a 5pin?

You bought the wrong dizzy, the td-01u is for the DX which came dual point and doesn't have the crank position sensor in it, return that dizzy and buy either another TD-02 or a TD-18 those plug right in and have the correct sensors inside.

 

totally incorrect td01 dizzy contains sensors for crank and tdc td02 contains sensors for crank tdc and cyp.

Anyone with a td02 can repin it to the same as td01 just leave out the cyp sensor wires
