Default Starter problems

Jus put in a new starter on my h22 and for some reason it's getting constant power. Like as soon s I re connect my battery the starter just starts spinning. Then I take the ground off the battery and it stops. I do have a good ground connected to the starter. Any help is appreciated.

so this didn't happen with the old starter i'm guessing. have you checked the wires to see if something is grounding/shorting where it's not supposed to.

No it didn't lol. But I did have to get a new power wire for the starter and have that hooked up.

When the power isn't connected to the battery then everything is grounded. But when the power is connected then everything is getting power

With key off.Remove power wire to starter, reconnect battery, test if you get battery voltage at solenoid signal wire. If you do, check relay and wires. If no voltage to solenoid, test solenoid if its stuck or working. When the starter spins, does it engage and spin the engine at the same time?

you probably switched the wires. double/tripple check wires starting from battery all the way to starter/solenoid.

No it does not engage and spin the engine. It just spins by itself

Checked the wires. When I switch them from the way I have them now I just get a single click when I turn the key

Do you get battery voltage on the solenoid signal wire?
What's with the change of wiring? Put it back the same as it was.
