My '01 5-speed CR-V
Well since I've had my V for a couple months now and since I've done a few things to it in that time I figured I'd share what I've got so far with the community
. This is my 2001 CR-V EX that I bought in February 2013 after I got tired of paying for gas in my 16 mpg Silverado. I brought it home with 118,000 miles on the clock.

First thing I did was pick up a set of rims and a hood bra..

..painted the rims black..

..and a close-up of the bra..

After driving it like this for a little while, I decided it was too quiet but I wasn't about to shell out for an OBX or a custom exhaust and I couldn't seem to find any mufflers I liked so I made my own.....seriously. I started with some scrap perforated steel from work..

Wrapped it in steel wool and fiberglass..

Stuffed it all inside a piece of 4" conduit..

and capped it off with a 3" angled tip..

Painted black and mounted up..

Then I got tired of how quiet the inside was so I put in a new head unit and speakers..

With that all done, it was time to close up the wheel gap a little so I dropped in a set of H&R coils.

They don't give a massive drop but it is noticeable, especially when next to a stock V..

Of course being like a lot of car enthusiasts, I got bored of my rims so I bought new ones, Drag DR-23s to be specific, wrapped in Uniroyal TigerPaw Toruings (215/55/17)

My latest upgrade is the short-shift mod which I'll probably do a detailed write-up for since everything else I found was pretty basic.

Plus my shortened boot and '81 civic shift ****

And one more of the **** for the sake of pic-whoring

I got bored one day so I threw this little guy on the back..

Being a taller guy (6'3") and being used to working under the hood of a Silverado, I got a little tired of ducking under the hood of the V, so I fixed it.
From this..

To this..

All I did was pick a spot on the edge of the hood frame and cut a little square out for the prop rod.

It looked just like mine when I got my 01 5-Speed!
Even in the snow!

I did the short throw shifter not too long ago also. Is that a Fit short shifter? Mine looks different.

Interesting. I never heard of anyone using a Civic shifter. I got my Skunk2 Fit shifter for $14.39 + $10.76 shipping so about $25 as well. Althought the Civic cup was just a as much... Small piece of plastic to pay for
