Its been a long time ... I'm back!! and I have questions :)
So its been forever and most won't remember me, I rebuilt my CRX and posted a lot on here back in 2006ish. That was so long ago that most of the guys I was talking to are probably gone and new generation of you are here.
Anyway, I'm in the process of "freshening" up the build. The LHT JRSC has come out a while back and I'm gonna run a small turbo. Before I do that I have to solve some problems that have plagued me. There's some stuff I am sick of that needs to get fixed.
1) I need to solve the engine placement. I have Hasport mounts, bought back in 2005. I'm not sure if they changed their design but first off they are too hard and vibration in the cabin is bad (I have their "street version"). Second the engine placement is way too far forward. This helped with the SC but now that I am going turbo I need the engine further back towards the firewall. Plus I think the placement of the engine was causing a driving line vibration. I had Hasport driveshafts that blew up and now I have Gator stage II driveshafts. With both shafts and tons of new parts up front I could never solve my driveline vibration. At about 65-70 mph I get a bad vibration and no..... its not tires. I'm hoping getting my engine back to a more OEM location will help me solve that issue.
2) That damn suck-*** Hasport cable to hydro conversion arm thingy HAS TO GO!!!! It is so bad. Not only does the feel suck but the cable's plastic nut is constantly stripping on me due to a heavy clutch pedal and hard abuse on a road course. I absolutely need to go hydro and I'm stuck between the SONEM kit which puts the MC under the dash or doing a custom Prelude pedal conversion that I saw here... https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/garys-ef-hydro-clutch-conversion-3077900/ I do run AC so the under dash MC setup will cause me to loose my drivers vent. In both instances it seems like I will need to pull the dash out which is gonna suck as my stereo and alarm system that I installed back in 1992 will need to be figured out (its been so long I don't even remember the wiring I did)
So anyway this is a long read.... and I will probably split this into 2 threads. However if anyone has any knowledge on either of these topics especially the engine placement with the EF swap and vibrations please let me know.

just go pull a honda hydro master cylinder and a slave then get a friend with a wire feeder or yourself , then build the hydro conversion yourself instead of spending 500 $ on a pre made one, i didnt have to pull the dash when i made mine either
1. pretty sure hasport has three new hardness for their bushings now, and i think they did redo their mount location.
2. pretty sure there is also a new design to the cable/hydro conversion. for one, there is new arm that press' the throw out bearing. or you could get the new setup where the hydraulic reservoir is mounted in front of the tranny.
looks like this,

looks like this,
I cut my stock clutch pedal off and welded a mounting bracket for a Willdwood pedal assembly with a 3/4" m/c to the stock pedal assembly. Now I run the tilton hydro T/O bearing so that's why the 3/4" master was selected. For a stock slave/arm setup a different size m/c would be needed I would think.
Man.... I really need to put it back together..... its been sitting for 8 years now lmao looks like a storage container hahaha
