Default help with rpm

hey guys just need some help. My car has been acting pretty funny when im starting to accelerate from a complete stop as if the fuel injector's are squirting like feeling. And during the drive if im at 3,500 rpm my needle on the gauge with move side to side and will be hard to pick up... any thoughts on what that could be? I'm thinking fuel injectors could be bad but idk. Thanks.

I would start by

checking your spark plugs/wires
use a bottle of water you can spray a mist on the plug wires, listen if they arc (ticking sound) if they do you need new plug wires.
manually remove the plugs & inspect them

when your rpm (tachometer) gauge acts up and moves around unnecessarily AND it bogs or runs strange i will go ahead and tell you now to just simply replace your distributor. If you are knowledgeable about the internals of a honda distributor you can replace the module but if you do not, make it easy on yourself replace the whole distributor.

Its usually just a icm or coil replacement that does the trick, sometimes both (like what happened to me)

^ than it is no good, rebuilt distributors are trash because they aren't "rebuilt" they replace what went wrong with it and do not touch anything else...return it and pay the fee for a new one with lifetime warranty.

If you replace or remove the dizzy make sure you mark where it was with a sharpie or razor blade. If not, you're going to need to set the ignition timing when you put it back on.
