Default new twin disc metal on metal noise

hey guys i just recently installed a new cc twin disc in my lsv, this is my first time running twin disc and when i went to go start it yesterday it sounded like metal on metal hitting in the trans area , like something was loose. is this normal , maybe the floaters moving around. the noise starts as soon as the starter engage and stays making noise with the clutch engaged or disengaged. any info helps ill post a video tommorow

Noise from the floater plates should go away when you engage clutch.

Get use to it . They are VERY noisy with your foot on the pedal . Not so much when your foot is off though . My Exedy twin is AWESOME on the strip but far from awesome on the street !

twin disc clutch chatter is normal, but it should go away when the pedal is out

Like mentioned prior, mine is noisy when the pedal is down, but when you let up the noise should go away.

I wouldn't think the battery being disconnected would cause the tune to erase itself off of the ecu.

Do you have a laptop that you can hook up to it? Was the car running fine before the clutch install?

I've been trying to figure out where I got my flywheel bolts from for over a year now lol. Maybe that's where they came from.

Twins make noise but as has been said, the noise should go away when the clutch is released. I'd say you have an issue if it doesn't. Mines loud only when pressed, and does the normal squeal when released then its quiet until the next press.

Lol first time I ever started my car up with the Comp twin disc, I thought for sure I was pulling the trans cause something was wrong. Nope that's just the normal sound they make, mine has gotten quieter the more I have driven the car.

(first sound you hear is my fuel pumps, noisey bastards lol)
