Default Virginia Pick-A-Part EF Inventory report 6/20/2013

The website lists seven 88-91 CRX/Civics at each location but the ground truth based on my observation is as follows:

At the Widewater location they only have two EFs
  1. 1991 Burgundy LX sedan
  2. 1989 Blue DX sedan
They had a 1990 CRX HF but it was pretty well gutted and after I took the transmission they crushed it. The engine was still laying in the yard but separated from the car it would be tough to find.

At the Fredericksburg location they have three hatchbacks Two red ones (1989 & 1991) and a blue one (1991) none of them are Si.

Next time I go I will take and post pictures of what I see.

Thanks for this post.
Prelude guy here but...
In the richmond area a chain called Chesterfield Auto Parts has 3 yards.

Go to chesterfieldautoparts.com and you can type in your request to be notified via email when one arrives.

Also go to roadkillcustoms.com and search va. They list dozens and dozens of junkyards in va.

Then the ever popular car-parts.com for a national junkyard registry where they scour all 50 states for ya.

Clearly you are correct the post does not contain a technical question. I looked for a more appropriate area to post this information such as a regional forum but I did not find one. Do you have a suggestion?

The Honda groups need a good way to source parts that individuals don't have for sale, any ideas?

You are providing information of what junkyards in your local area and what vehicles they possess.
You must surely understand that there are MANY junkyards in the United States as well in the other countries that this forum reaches out to.
You can't keep up with that.

Furthermore, this -is- a technical forum... ONLY.
In understand your post and how you intended to be helpful, however this is NOT the place for it.
There is a classified section on this site where people can buy and sell items.
This area is reserved for questions and answers for fixing problems, upgrades, and builds.
At best, you can find the stickies at the top of the page and you will see a for sale post that you can add too.

Simply put, read the rules and follow them.
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/rules-thread-titles-car-information-searching-picture-posting-3086803/
If you don't like the rules, show some respect and go to some other board that offers the rules you want - nobody tied your hand to come here.

Th isn't the right place for this, but in my opinion, it is fine. If people do this occasionally then it may give others in said area a chance to go to there local yards to get that part they have been searching for. Hell I need a sun roof motor and would be happy if I saw an ad that led to me finding it. But that is just my opinion.

I agree it is not the right place so I won't be doin' it again. If this forum had a regional section like forums for some other cars do that would probably be a good place for this and meet ups and links to craigslist adds for interesting cars for sale and other such things that are only of interest to folks in a particular geographic area, but I don't want to break the rules and mess up a good thing so I apologize and it won't happen again.

I found the correct place for this thread. It is sort of buried but it is there. There is very little activity there that might be why it is buried or it might be because its buried. In any event if you are a moderator perhaps you could move this thread to:
Honda-Tech > Community Forums > Regional Forums and Meets > Mid-Atlantic

Thanks

^ Use the "report a post" function and it will get a mod's attention faster than hoping one sees your post at the end of this thread.
