Yesterday I was driving and noticed none of the lights on the A/C controls were lit up. Pushing the buttons did nothing. Fan works fine but A/C, recirculate, and blowing areas lights won't turn on. After leaving the store when I started the car again everything worked fine again. Would anyone know if this is the beginning of the end for my A/C? Any advice on what I should do? Thank you.

 

Sounds like the HVAC control is going out. Several have added a jumper wire to the control unit and got it going again.

 

Lost_again, my "Vents" button has been intermittently going out sometimes when I press it but will come back on again if i gently tap it. You think this is just the button or is the assembly going bad you think ? I've never had an issue with my controls. Kinda in the dark here.

 

On the 4th gen....I'd say the bulb is going. Does the air flow change even though the light isn't on? Never hurts to lube the mode control levers.

Pretty common on the 6th gen's that the circuit board for the HVAC goes bad. There are some write ups around on how to "fix"/"jump" the board to correct the issue - Honda Accord Forum or Drive Accord. Haven't seen one on here before.
