Default New wheels, lowering help?

Hi guys!

It's an honor to be part of this community, so in return I say a warm hello to everyone!

Now...

I have not done much to my EP3, in saying that I have only owned it for less than 4 months. But a couple weeks ago I bought some Volk CE28N's in 16x7.5 as they were a steal. Yes I know they are not the same size as the standard EP3 CTR wheel but Im sure they can look good!

I will post a picture of how it sits on standard suspension and springs, and want your opinions on what I should do to get it to my desired height, which is to have very little wheel gap, maybe going for the sporty-racey look rather than the flush or slammed look.

I do not want to lose much of this awesome handling that this car has to offer but I know they dont like to be lowered lol.

I was originally planning to go for Tein S tech lowering springs with factory shocks, but thinking they may not go low enough and I may have to spend big bucks on adjustable suspension? If I do that then comes even more money on camber arms, extended tie rods and RCA's??? Is it worth it?

Opinions please, I need help and would hate to make a decision and regret it.

Heres the current height with the wheels :]

Thanks spaz and cheers for the edit!

On top of what Ive written, I would be looking at $350 nzd for springs (tein s tech)
or $1200+ for adjustable suspension and on top of that Id have to buy camber arms, tie rod ends, RCA's ETC... So Im leaning towards the lowering springs, which hopfully I will maintain some ride comfort, as with adjusties Id be expecting a bumpy ride especially on these new zealand roads.

Anyone on here lowered their car on 16's? tips?

this is a lil less detailed but here is a pic of my SI stock vs when i put on my S techs, just on the stock 15" wheels ..

was a decent enough drop, when settled it was almost 2" in around, just an estimate though

i would also suggest for our chassis if doing smaller rims, go with meatier tires, something like a 215 or 225/50/16 would look great.

I think that drop is enough to convince me. Subtle, yet noticable. you didnt need camber arms after the drop?

What size are those tires? Something beefier would also make them look more appropriate.

I think s-techs would give you a mild drop that would definitely lessen your wheel gap. But if you want a little more drop, H&R also makes springs that drop your car around 2in., which imo would look great on your car. Also, 2 inches isnt too much to where you'll need to start rolling fenders or anything with your tire/wheel size.

Thanks h.pham, ive ordered some s techs so ill let you guys know how I go. Im wondering if they dont go very low if getting them professionally compressed with ruin the spring rates?
