HI guys I'm new to the forum I have an 02 accord Special Edition the check engine light is on I put a few different computers on it and they are all reading the same thing "no codes present and no pending code" you can turn the light off and after about five minutes it comes back on, the car drives great with no issues at all but the light is driving me crazy!!! Have anyone ever seen this problem?

 

faulty ecu then maybe. if i didnt go off when you clear/reset then id suggest a short in the harness but since it goes off for a little while id think its a comp problem

 

Is there a way to check if its really the ECU before I buy another one? And if its the ECU can I buy another one and just put in or do I need to get in programed?

 

the only way i think to be sure its an ecu problem is to have a dealer test it. and ye smost likely it has to be reprogrammed because of the anti-theft system
