Default my slow bugout project

Recently just got my V  It’s a 1997. I thought I would do a build thread. But it’s going to be a slow one as cash comes in. I plan on going the off-road way, kind off a bug out vehicle, but not too extreme, just something to get me in and out of Sasquatch country.
I’ll post my first stock pic. In a bit. Right now I’m tire hunting 215/75/15 going on stock steelies until I find something better.
I need All Terrain preferably with the “snow flake” so I have no problems with Jonny law, when i hit the mountains. Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. A lot of guys with offroad V's run BFG All-Terrains and seem to be happy with them. Good luck with your build.

Man I love that blue color!!

Also, did your horn take a dump? Mine died two days ago while I was "yelling" at some old dude at the light. Is this a common thing with the Vs?

Seems like most people I've seen on here say their horn went out are in areas that get heavy amounts of road salt in the winter.

Yep my horn is poop. I’m sure it’s the horn not a fuse, because when I push the button I hear a very faint noise. So ya I think I just need to go get a new horn and wire it in.

Gotcha. I'll try to install a set of PIAAs this Friday - will let you know how they are. 400/500 ones.

A bunch of my buddies with tuner cars have hellas - they are nice looking and loud, but a bit too high pitch for my liking.
I'm going with PIAAs for a subtle/stock look and a deeper tone. Don't want to look/sound like a chipmunk on steroids. :D

Get some horns from a caddy, they have that train sound to them if wired up properly. You need 4 of them to get that real train sound.

That's what I have on my '00 CR-V; they came from a '95 Fleetwood. Love the sound...
