curious if you guys are using a fuel pump controller?
or is it really needed?
I have been doing some research to see that these big pumps can burn up. with their price I don't want to drop the $$ on another one any time soon lol....
would like to see some others input

You'll get mixed reviews. I personally know people that street drive big aeromotive pumps that say they need the controller without issues but there are also people that have issues without the controllers. If you have that kind of luck that you usually need the worst case scenario stuff then get the controller . My luck is if something can go wrong it usually does so i tend to overdue everything in case of a maybe issue. Whenever I don't it usually fails.
I dont use a pump controller with my 2035...
No problems here...just track car here. No street times.

I was on the fence of getting the same pump. I went with a magna fuel because they say it doesn't need a step down controller. And it was cheaper and supports plenty of power.
But the Weldon seems to be a very nice pump.

When I run out of fuel with my intank walbro 450 i will be stepping up to the magnafuel my self. Fairly priced and flows more than ill ever need
I have been running Weldon Racing pumps since 2001. 2025, 2035 and now 2345 never used a fuel pump controller, never had any issues. One thing is use proper gauge wiring and relay.
