^^^ This is probably one of the most covered topics for EF's... lol.

DC Center console + armrest is nice, gives you a console, arm rest, and cup holders..

I searched and found a bunch of Dead links here in the faq, so figured I would ask.
Oh and I did google it by the way ******* thanks very much, but being a little new to hondas I dont know the vocabulary that one site uses over another.
I came here because people said it would be a decent place to get answers if I was new, and if I could not find it ask, people would be more than willing to help.... Guess they were wrong...

lopa, thanks for answering. Ill see about figuring out what a DC is. Thanks again.

hahahahahahahahaha

what vocab? all you had to do was type in "center console for honda ef" first link is this,
https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/ef-center-console-swap-3024339/

which shows you a pretty good thread from last year on what you should be looking for. in that thread they suggest a dc center console. one of the post in it also suggest to "google" dc center console in ef. which leads to a thread from '06.

here since im an ******* i'll help you out and give that link, https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/ef-center-console-swaps-1544601/.

not all the pics in that thread are dead. and in that thread they do give good pointers on how to make it fit. they even tell you what year DC center consoles to use, and even tell you what a DC is. even gives you other suggestions/routes to go with if you don't want to go the DC route, or can't find a DC center console.

there, did this ******* spoon feed you well enough?

There was no need to call him an *******. He provided you a "LMGTFY" link using the "special vocab" you already used. He actually helped you (which actually means you were correct that people are willing to help you on this site) but for whatever reason you feel insulted.

From your initial post, we couldn't tell if you are new to hondas or not. a DC is a 1994-2001 Acura Integra I believe.

Lopa, thanks, Ill check into that

And 90, Sorry, I didnt mean to come back like that, uaually I can take a joke with the best of them, but I did search a LOT before posting and every one I found was missing any good images. The ones I saw were either low quality or did not have anything near what my car has in it.... and I just found out why.
Since I got this car I have had nothing but issues trying to find and replace any parts... Apparently this guy who had the car before me changed a bunch and used different parts from different cars across the board. Civics, integras, etc. I had a friend take me to the junkyard and he looked inside my car and said.... dude, you have a DX this and a SI this and a eg this and a integra that, and Im looking at him like someone would look at me if I were to try to give a quick rundown of subnetting or Ip addressing to someone who never even saw a router.
Thats the vocabulary I dont have, and I am confused because there is SO much conflicting information I find when I search, and I know the Crx and the ef are similar in some cases, but not all, and with some cars this bolts to that, etc, but when things start saying different abbreviations, I do not know the translations, and try and google them and it seems there is some discrepancies there. Like for instance I searched for what a "da" was and found a page that said it was an acura, but the years overlapped with information I found on a second site, that referenced them to be a different model year.

I bought this car to be fun, and to save on gas, ive had it for only like 3 months, Well, right before I joined here so you can see its only been a few. This is my first ever honda. Facebook locally has some sites that are honda part related and they call parts different things than you guys do on here sometimes, and it is hard to try and decipher.

So I apologize for my comeback, I did "google " it at first, and I did try the FAQ section here and the link was broken. I did not see an image that looked decent to me, and the ones I did see and also saw some people saying it was not a perfect fit. I guess I was just looking for some recent changes and images to go by. I even saw someone say an eg(?) fit in theirs but there was no image attached anymore, probably moved it in photobucket or something.

Now with that all said, I am guessing that the one people recommend is the DA integra. I found a guy who has one of those and a complete radio cover/console for an EG in decent shape, but I have not seen how the latter of the 2 would even fit or work, especially if I have some frankencrap done to the inside like my friend said.
its frustrating to not have a clue how to identify this stuff and when I go to the autoparts store and the guy hands me a part and its NOTHING like what I saw on the car......

Once again, sorry for overreacting but this car just has me annoyed right now, especially because I just had to order a complete new front end ball joint/bushing tie rod kit and apparently that was changed and different too.....

ahhh... the old previous owner fucked up the car and now you have to deal..... i know that feel.... burn it with fire.

a good way to help since you basically have what would be a vw harleguin...

take pictures of the area you want to change out. i.e. around your head unit, center console, and seats. we should be able to tell you with good pictures if you should replace this, or that, or tell you it should fit.

words describe a lot, but a good picture with some description is worth gold.

oh, and DA integra is a good choice, but try to stick with same year of civic. it'll make it much easier. only thing you would want to switch over from a DA is the engine and maybe disc brakes from it. but that's a whole different subject.

**** oh, and you can't really change to much on the front end suspension on these cars. even if you were to swap over to a DA, it's not that much different. if the previous owner put in newer year civic/integra parts, i have to see pics of that.

Dude, you just need to read more. I just got into Hondas about 2 years ago so I can relate. It takes a while to pick up the lingo. But honestly, you're only going to get the knowledge by reading and researching. All these questions are easily answered by Google or searching these forums. I did the same. I wanted cupholders for my hatch and googled it. I'm pretty sure a DIY article on another forum came up. Google DC2 and you'll probably see an ebay ad for a complete console, read the description and you'll see that it's a 1994-2001 Acura Integra. I'm not trying to bust your ***** but honestly, this has been covered a million times. If you read these forums, browse craigslist and do your homework you'll piece it together. If you ask a Newbie question and get flamed you have to have thicker skin.

Thanks, and I found out why I could not see some of the write ups and stuff when I searched, turns out that they have the firewall blocking some of the pages on this site, but I can access some of them. Thats why I kept getting broken links and was getting frustrated. Wierd thing is I can access them from my virtual machine just fine so I am guessing it is something with the software they have installed locally that the VM bypasses. Now when I go through the forum, I see all the pages instead of clicking the next button and it giving me a 404 page not found error.
Also, the images that I was seeing was after the mod you did Freemananana, so that is one of the reasons mine does not look the same. I was wondering there for a bit, because this does have several different parts int he car. I think my friend said the SI gauges and hood, but the DX radio console?? Has Prelude seats in it , and since the car has been sitting for a few days I noticed the reason the front brake rotors didnt look like the ones I was looking at the auto parts store is because the guy drilled his own rotors.... (WTH!!) Which could be why they feel warped, and they tear through pads fast.
I have searched around and found some listings of what the different series are called, and have begun a list of different things that are from what vehicle.....
I really like this car, and hope I can get to do a lot and have fun with it more.
The main reason I bought it was the paint job.....

I used to build towtrucks and I had several cupholders we pulled out of trucks and basically had thrown away, and I was thinking about how to put some in, and ended up putting one style in, and the other looks like it is almost identical to the way the one in the pictures you posted. It slides out and drops down... I have 2 of those sitting in my basement.. the ones I made work temporarily for now are collapsible flat mount ones found in a Kenworth Big Rig on the seats.
