Default 94 Honda Accord MT Won't Engage Gears

I have a 94 Honda Accord EX MT and it won't go into any gear. I jumped in the car and push the clutch in, car turned on. Went to shift into first gear would not let me, release my brakes and the car rolled a little and after pushing in the clutch 3 times allowed me to get into 1st gear. Will on the road i have to press the clutch 3 times to get into 2nd gear. I noticed when slowing down the car idle hard like the tranny was still engaged. i was able to get the car home and left it in neutral. About two week back i had to press the clutch 3 times to get the car to start. Paid it no mid because it just finished raining and it was cold.
Now when i push the clutch in car starts without pushing the clutch in car won't start. With clutch pushed in can shift into any gear. No signs of tranny fluid leaks. Can someone help me?

I have and it was low. I filled it up now, with the car off i can get into gear. So i put the car in 1st gear, pushed in the clutch without my foot on brakes but the handbrakes up and start the car and the car pushed forward as if i took my foot off of the clutch but it didn't cut off it just idle really low and really hard.

Sounds like you may need to bleed the clutch. Also check for leaks.

My first guess is that you got a master cylinder leak. Look down by the clutch pedal at the push rod for the master cylinder. If it's leaking you will see fluid where the push rod enters the boot portion. You will need to bleed the clutch at the very least...but preferably replace the master cylinder at the same time. If it's not leaking there you should look at the slave cylinder where the boot is..it would leak out of that area if that's leaking.

Well I just figured out why my reverse never wants to work and why the rest of my gears are a little touchy. See, tech stuff solves tech questions.

Your issue could be leaking tranny fluid. I had all mine leak out and it ruined my tranny a month ago or so, and surprisingly my master cylinder was bad at the same time and leaked all my clutch fluid out, and I had to pull another tranny from the junkyard.

I tried three different aftermarket seals and finally I just went oem and it has sealed perfectly. The thing about it is that the after market seals didn't have grease around the lip that the OEM came with from the factory and that could be why they leaked. I think that grease is essential to allowing the seal to properly break in around the lip. These seals were all the same size in diameter and I gotta think the lip was the same size, but I can't be for certain. In the end just use OEM axle seals.

Yah mine leaks a little bit, I actually bled it. I pulled the MC at the junkyard when I did my conversion. I'll probably just get replacement at TAS like my slave.

It's like $30 new for both from autozone. In this case it might be better to just get em new.

i am going to replace everything. I just got around to bleeding the clutch, GA weather has been hectic and now i don't get no pressure in the lines. I am going to replace the master and slave cylinder and while i am down there i am going to replace my clutch.i think the last time i had the clutch replaced on this was 6 years ago.

My JY MC seemed not to work either until I replaced it with one form O' Reilly's. It was $25. Don't buy the one at Advance made by "Perfection Clutches", the reviews said they had a tendency to leak. What you really wanna do though is use teflon tape for the threads on the bleeder screw for the slave cylinder, I think that was a main cause of why I couldn't get pressure. It only takes 0.01 PSI of pressure loss to cause a problem in the system.

So how's your turbo accord doing, is your clutch liking it?

You really should figure out what the problem is before you start randomly replacing parts. But it's your choice.
