Default Missing Emissions Sticker

I'm having a hard time figuring out if I have a California or federal emissions vehicle. there is no sticker under the hood. How else do you figure it out. Thanks for your time.

Could call up H.o.A. and give them your VIN number and find out.
Dunno if going to http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...artsSearch.jsp and putting in your VIN will tell you.

If you live in Calif and are trying to get around any kind of emissions devices or testing it's not going to happen. Outside of late 70's light duty pickup trucks that may or may not have had a catalyst due to the configuration/GVW rating, there is no perceivable difference between a Calif or Fed vehicle. If the car is a Federal car and are living in Ca, it doesn't matter that it is a FED car if you are using aftermarket 'performance' parts, they will still need a CARB sticker to be legally used in CA.

By '96 with a better standardization of OBD with OBDII there is even smaller differences between Fed and CA cars.

I live in Oregon. When I go to the parts store they ask me if its cali or fed emissions. I thought maybe it matters for the way the car is programed. If I just need a fed emissions cat, that sounds great. im getting the p0420 code. I know it may not be the cat itself. sensors or exhaust leak, etc
