Not sure if I'm allowed to post this link

The ECU is made by a UK company for us, we're working on a DI unit for the later MINI's as well and hopefully we will be influencing both ecu's from a drag racing useage.

This is pretty sweet, my brother has a 05 Cooper S that we've been contemplating building a motor for and turboing, wish this was a U.S Supplier/Shop but none the less still bad ***. I'd like some info on mini coopers weak links and what not if you don't mind PMing me.

I was actually going to put up a thread to see who has run the quickest on that size slick
Our best 60ft over the weekend was 1.6606

We're back out at the http://www.japshow.co.uk/index.html this weekend as its our 3rd round so we'll try dropping them.
With a slick that has a thin sidewall like that, its going to be pretty tough to hook like 13's hook.
Try a 3rd gear burnout, or lower tire pressure, or lower launch control, or try disabling anti-lag and just use stock ignition cut with no retard to build a bit less boost.

I have the same problem with my 23" X 8 x 15 M&H
CRX weighs in at 2601 lbs without me (+80kgs)
I'm looking at 24.5's x 15's as I need this to clear my brakes, it's a road car.

Do you have the clearence for 24.5's ?

We originally running 24.5 x 8.5 -15 MT's (fastest 60ft was 1.7212) then went to 2 sets of Toyo 25 x 9 -15 (fastest 60ft was 1.7480), which we still have one set on rims which we might try tomorrow, unfortunately Toyo have discontinued them.
At the moment our fastest 60ft is with the current 23 x8.5-15 M&H is last weekend 1.6606.
I know ET matters but from a look point of view I prefer the 23s on our car
We were hoping for boost by gear this weekend but as per usual customers cars are priority and our car gets left.
But we will have it working hopefully for next weekend

Looks like we've got a consistent 11.2 @ 126 MINI......if the track comes round we might nick a 1/0th tomorrow but at the moment Thomas is having to pedal it after about 6/10ths after leaving....we cant really see anywhere else we can pick up any ET from.
Unfortunately no boost by gear for this weekend
Our first qualifier is at 9am tomorrow

Sorry for the lack of update, so to recap on Sunday our plan of out qualifying our other 11sec FWD racers Mat & Ben went really well

The only problem was, we were expecting to be in 4th then meeting Mat in the first round so we could have a nice tight heads up race, but because Calvin only made one bad for him qualifying pass, guess who we got in 1st round again

Even though Thomas tree'd Calving, Calvin top end charge was enough to beat Thomas by .6 of a sec (last run on the sheet)

A great pic from Santa Pods very own DJ

So we still remain 6th in the champioship, our 4th round is this weekend at The Retro Show at Santa Pod
Unfortunatley its been a busy week here at the Webster's so no video has been made as yet......but for now pics of the weekend and the pics of our other competitors are available here on our FB page

We did drop the presuures to 8psi and we did acheive our best 60-330 but only by .006
We have some race fuel for this weekend to play with for the first time

So we purchased some Elf Perfo 105 unleaded race fuel $27 a US gallon, this is 12% Oxgenated and was able to coax this number out of the engine with a bit more timing and 25 psi

Then on the Sunday we were back to the Pod for our 4th round
Its been a long time waiting for the scoreboard to light up starting with 10

And here is that ticket on our first qualifier and run of the day

Our 2nd qualifier, our best 60ft and our quickest 1/8th of the weekend.......Thomas didn't like how it felt on the 3rd to 4th,,,,,but everything checked out ok

Our 3rd qualifier and the first 130mph trap speed in the 1/4 for a MINI in Europe

For the 2nd time in a row we qualified 3rd

This was the ladder for today.......Amy had the lucky break this weekend as No 1 qualifier Richard Batty hurt his engine so had bye's to the final

For the first time this year we won our first round with a holeshot

Our semi final round against Kiel was a foregone conclusion and Thomas backed off in 4th again with Kiel running another consistent 9 sec pass
We have so much footage to go through but hopefully we will get a video up this week
but for now just in case you hadn't seen on FB here's a link to a video of the 10 sec run

Our next outing is at The Bug Jam on the 19th -21st July at Santa Pod

With what I can see in the pic of your tire, it looks like its cambering under suspension extension. If that is in fact what I'm seeing, it will kill a tenth on your 60' pretty easily.
Thanks for that I'll put that on the list to do before our next outing, we have some slow mo video concentrating on the front wheel which we will put in our video as well.
We're looking forward to getting the boost by gear working......we can see a lot left everywhere in the run .......so we're hoping for consistant 10.8s at the next meeting
