Before you guys tell me to do my own research I did research and found nothing on the question I have.

So heres my question, so I have a complete obd2 d16y8 swap off of a 96 honda del sol Si. It's complete with the engine harness still attached note that these engine harness's plug right off in th engine bay like the obd1 cars. can this harness plug into my obd1 harness? the plugs look exactly the same except for an additional plug which I believe it's for 2 sensors that the obd1 ecu's don't ask for.

So here's my question again.

Can I use an obd2 engine harness off of a 96 del sol Si on my obd1 civic?

I did some research but I cannot find anything to answer my specific question. Thanks

 

if it the plugs fit just try it. I have a 96 del sol but I did the opposite, I've converted it back to OBD1, changed the entire interior harness to obd1, but difference is I am tucked, and I run a Rywire milspec harness, so my OEM firewall plugs are unused.

but if the mate up and if both engines are vtec it should be fine. you can also replace all the obd2 sensors with obd1, and use your original harness basically running a obd1 intake and distributor

 

Yes you can, as long as the engine harness is from a 5 speed.

 

Yeah both engine and underdash harness are 5speed. Ima go ahead and give it a shot. Thanks both of you for your input.
