Icon3 Need help!! Im stuck..

This issue has just progressively gotten a little worse over time. I noticed that the car did not have a lot of power on hills and when coming to a stop it idles down very low and gets extremely jumpy. At anything above 1.5k RPM it seems to run fine. Also when starting moving from a stop the car does not have a lot of power, but then it suddenly "catches up" at about 20MPH and accelerates much better. I have noticed that on a cold start, the car will idle well at about 1k. But then putting it in gear or turning the AC on makes the RPMs drop and the engine starts to shake.

I disassembled the throttle, EGR valve, the intake, and cleaned them. There was a fair amount of gunk on them. The EGR valve wasnt bad because it got replaced not to long ago but i checked it anyway to make sure it was okay. But the problem still exists! I read it could be the rear camshaft gear but i cant find it anywhere or even a diagram to where it is.. Someone please help me!!

I tend to make it a habit of not helping anyone that doesn't have the courtesy to say what kind of car they have. But that's just me.

Year and model would be helpful. "I'm just saying!"

Settle down there chief. We're all here to help, but we need some more info. The more detailed you can be, the better off we are at assisting you diagnosing it.

It's funny that you've contributed absolutely nothing to the community and have only asked a few questions - two of which were about a transmission swap.

You then post up with no information about your car and then expect people to be psychic to help. If the car's RPMs are climbing and the speed isn't you could have a transmission starting to **** on you.

Absolutely NO ONE will help you on here, nobody what so ever if you come raging after a little criticism. I'm bet you're very good to your car, hell nobody said you weren't. But if you come in here acting like a hard-*** with ~8 posts nobody will help you in the future and EVERYONE will criticize you.

Check your ignition system. Perhaps your coil packs are wearing out, or maybe you have a clogged fuel filter.

I'm not as familiar with the v6's but I would think it might be starving for air. I would look to the iacv for starters.

I would doublecheck mechanical timing too. There could be multiple issues here. But normally it would throw a code.

Also check for codes. It could have a stored one.

But he's not stupid, surely he checked for codes with an appropriate reader/scanner already. Right?

And I hav only posted 8 posts because I work 2 jobs and never have time to get on here to ask people. Sorry about the other comment. Just ignore it. I need your help because I'm about to go on a trip to Kansas City and really don't want to break down on the way there if its a serious problem.

Are you aware of any maintenance done on the transmission? Fluid changes, etc.

The low RPM's could be fixed by doing the EGR/TB/IACV cleaning that is recommended. I'd take a look at that - there's a thread for the 5th gen but I'd imagine there's one for the 6th gen V6 either on here or somewhere like v6performance.

The transmission could be it starting to slip a little bit if you see the RPM's going and the speed not proportionally increasing.

I got the transmission rebuilt about 7,000 miles ago and i havent had any problems with it unless the tranny is the problem.. I have already cleaned all the carbon build up in the intake, egr valve, and the throttle body. I have done all the scheduled maintiance and there are no code at all. No codes stored either. So i dont know what it could be.. Im about to replace the fuel pump and everything so maybe that will help too. maybe not getting enough fuel as it should be..
