I have a 98 civic and recently its started to go downhill
Yesterday I started having problems with the sunroof. It wants to open but it wont. The driver side is stuck in the closed position and the passenger side is stuck in the open position (trying to just flip it open). I thought something might be stuck on the tracks but I dont see anything! What else could it be?

 

How do you have a drivers side and passenger side sunroof?
Lube the sunroof tracks. There's also a way to open the sunroof manually.

 

Are you saying your sunroof is stuck close?
If so try to give it a push while pressing button to open it.

And then driver side and pass side windows???
If so remove the door panels and check the motors and tracks.

 

The sunroof wants to move back on one side but wont budge on the other side (when looking up from the drivers side, hence the reference to the driver/passenger side). Its like something may be stuck on the track. How can I remove things to check? Ive tried putting lube on the tracks.

 

Did you try to push the sunroof open while you held down the button?

 

Gotta drop the roof lining to get to the sunroof. But as said most of the time you can just push it up.
