Default paint prep and body work

im getting ready to prep my 94 civic ex, while I was sanding I ran into a couple dings here and there. one gouge like dent about 2 inches long a half inch deep looks like a small river an my hood. and a couple dings in the drivers door. after I finish sanding how can I get these dents out with out warping or doing any more damage. and also if you could help me with the weather stripping on the roof what can I do since mine is all dried up and most of it has cracked away, im thinking about just making it smooth like it was never there so what could I use to fill it in?

If you can get to the dents with a hammer and dolly try to get them as flat as possible. If you can't do that try to rent a dent puller, there are two types. One drills holes and inserts a screw and the other welds little pins onto the bare metal. You then use a pull hammer to pop the dents. Finish that off with a light coat of body filler and block it out smooth, then primer and block. Don't just fill the dent with filler, try to get as much of the dent out as possible.

You can order new roof stripping from the dealer I would imagine. Please don't fill those! If you do, do it the right way and weld metal strips over them. If you just fill it in with body filler it's going to crack and look like hell the first time your body twists.

Bondo would fail almost right away in a spot like that. It would be over 1/8 thick which is the max bondo should be. To do it right you would need to weld in some sheet metal and feness it into a flowable shape then bondo with "kitty hair" Fiber glass reinforced bondo sand then seal, primer, seal, then base coat and clear.
