When I turn the key, the fuel pump kicks on like normal. But then the car does not crank at all. I'm thinking its my starter but won't know for sure till tomorrow. Just wanna get some ideas on what you guys would think about this ?

 

Is this a fresh swap, or was it running properly with the swap before now?

Have you bench tested the starter?

Are you getting 12V to the main battery power line, as well as the signal wire when you turn the key to ON(III)?

 

Is the starter relay clicking? Make sure you have a good connection on the starter solenoid wire. Does the starter turn if you jump it?

 

I just went through a similar problem, check the ground that goes from the transmission to the chassis. Mine was loose and not properly grounding which made it so the starter wouldn't do anything.

 

what ecu is being used? obd1 or 2?

 

Arc the starter to see if it even works.

check for grounds... very common when people do swaps they never think of grounds.

 

Well everything thing was working fine prior to this. It just started happening out if nowhere. I'm getting the starter tested after work today and am going to check the grounds aswell. However I do not hear the starter relay clicking.
