...Or you can save a metric shitload of money and just use 3M CF tape. Same look, cheaper. The true CF caps are only meant to go OVER the existing sheet metal, so you aren't losing any weight loss, either.

originally they were designed for saving weight on cars that came with an oem sunroof. Remove the glass, motor and accessories then put the cap over the existing hole. That sunroof assembly is pretty heavy. And if you want to save weight but dont have a sunroof, then you can cut sections out of the sheet metal around the structure of the roof. Theres always the possibility of water leakage so its gotta be sealed up very well.

also, be careful who you buy from, make sure its a well known company with good repore. there was a guy on here a few years ago selling those roof caps out of idaho and was screwing people left and right, not sending them the roofs and what not. i was lucky to receive one before he fell off the map.
