Icon6 '95 prelude: Alarm Short Circuit?

Having issues with a '95 prelude. Upon unlocking and opening the door of the vehicle the car alarm sounds and is not disabled by toggling the alarm switch under the dash. Because the alarm is on, the car will not start.

At first inspection, I thought the battery could be bad. But all lights, locks, etc... are working. My best assumption is that there is a short in the alarm circuitry which is causing the issue. I considered pulling the fuse on the alarm to see if I can get it started, and then concern myself with the short in the circuit later. The fuse is not in any standard location, and I cannot find reference to it online.

Does anyone know where the fuse is for the alarm, or know of any other solutions to my problem?

well i do know that the fuses that have to do with the alarm are also used for other components..

fuse 41 and 43 (underhood) and fuse 17 underdash. they all have to do with the alarm system...

your best bet is to try fuse 43 first. 41 is the horn. 43 is the clock/radio. 17 has to do with the security system connector... not much info on that.
