Default B series Transmission Identification help

Hey Honda tech, I have a question as to what gear set is this trans i picked up, It was sold to me as a Ys1 Gsr trans.

The final Drive IS 4.40, But there is not a dual cone synchronizer in 2nd gear. it has a single cone.

It also has 2pc welded shift forks instead of the Ys1 ls trans i have that has the shift forks pinned together.

The (if i remember) 3-4 shift sleeve is a larger diameter as my oem ys1 shift fork would not fit, had to use the welded forks.

Im confused as to what it is... been raining here and havent been able to count teeth.

any insight?

I am also having trouble getting the trans back together. its going into a ys1 ls trans case.

when assembled and in neutral it feels like it is stuck in gear, and when the selector is moved to a gear, the trans locks up entirely and will not spin. the mainshaft gear stack height is correct so im not sure whats causing the issue. Im thinking a synchro hub is upside down? printing the oem assembly guide and taking another crack at it when I get off of work.

When you put it back together it should slide in easier than you would ever imagined, if not, something is wrong. First, make sure the transmission is in 3rd gear before you set the outer case. Then, lubricate the differential, mainshaft, and countershaft bearing that will be heald by the outer case. Make sure you have a piece of wood or anything really, under the bell housing part to bring it up on one side from the surface you're working on, the shaft(where the clutch would go) cannot touch the surface of your 'workbench'.

Slide the top case on to the bell housing until it stops, which should happen at-least a quarter on an inch before it seals completely. Then look at your snap ring and expand it to go around the countershaft bearing and the case should slide down easily and seal.

Hope this helps.

P.S. Dont do it in neutral, and for hydro transmissions, make sure the top ring with the tab under the mainshaft(under the top bearing) aligns with the outer transmission vent holes. I wish I had pictures.
