Turbo D16 drag transmission build... Opinions please.
I'm debating whether or not to build this transmission or stick with the stock d16y8 one I have and just throw a Mfactory LSD in it. What do you guys think of this?
The car:
d16y8 tranny
~500whp
Redline 8k (SC61S starts making power @ ~5k)
15" wheels/22.5" tall tires
Trap times are just a speculation at the moment
This car only does 1/4 mile and some street driving. No auto x or road racing.
The idea:
CX first gear
stock second gear
ZC third gear
ZC forth gear
stock fifth gear
Mfactory helical LSD
Mfactory 4.5/4.7 FD
Thoughts, comments, concerns? Thanks!

All '88 - '00 D-series transmissions use the same ratio for 1st gear.
'92 - '95 CX (US)/VX 3rd gear sets can be flipped and used as a short 4th and aren't that hard to come by.
Del Sol Si transmissions had a slightly lower 5th than every other '92 - '00 D-series.

Y8 trans, MFactory helical LSD, MFactory 4.5 FD is the most common turbo D trans I build. About half of those use the MFactory 3.083 1st gear.
My bad... Some reason I thought the CX first's were 3.0xx. Thanks.
I think I may just go MFactory 3.083 and 4.5 FD.
Thanks.
