Good idea to mark splines when you pull stuff like that apart. Worst case you will have to take it back apart..... best case, pull the steering wheel and turn it. Don't break your clock spring.
Stock wheel? If so sounds like the alignment tech didn't know what he was doing. Did you go back and talk to the shop manager?
The rack and wheel should be centered before the alignment is done. Then only the tie rod ends are adjusted.
Now if your talking an after market wheel, it could be installed wrong.

SI wannabe... i dont think ima need to take out steering rack if it only goes on one way in the car....so do i have to take off the steering join which contects to the rack ???
my steering wheel is after market...but when i had the old rack the car was straight and so the steering wheel so i dont see no point in where i have to flip the hub
Yeah, I can agree to that. Didn't mean to come off as second-guessing your work. There should be enough adjustment in the tie rods to clean it up if the alignment tech knows anything about what he's doing. In my opinion, they should fix it for free. I wouldn't even mention the fact that you replaced anything so they can't blame you. Just tell them you had an alignment and they didn't do it right.

Same thing happened after I put a rack in my girlfriend's Accord. To get the new rack in, I had to turn the steering out by hand to slip one side in, and then the other. I tried to center it as best as I could before I attached the steering wheel shaft to the rack, but when she got an alignment they said it was too far off to be able to get the wheel right-side-up. So it was completely 180 off. To fix it, I just unbolted the little elbow that connects the steering wheel shaft to the rack, flipped the wheel around, and reinstalled it. She had to take it back to the alignment place to get the wheel centered perfectly, but they were able to do it with no problems that time.
^^See above. Why is this in here?
Stop taking your cars to crappy shops and stuff like this doesn't happen. Better yet, why drive it home messed up without having them fix it right then and there?

i honestly dont see how this is possible.
The joint INSIDE the cabin is a one way deal. it goes on one way and one way ONLY. how the hell is it 180degrees off? i can see it being a full 360 off but not 180..someone correct me if i am wrong i would like to know.

it's on splines, pull the wheel off, face it the right way and put it back on

I can't remember if that has an airbag, if it does, you disconnect the battery for at least a minute, pop off the airbag, loosen the steering wheel nut, pull wheel off, turn right direction, and reverse process. the column itself has no direction point, if you dont want to mess with the airbag, drop the column slightly loosen the u joint, turn the wheel and slide the U joint back in, taking the wheel off is much easier
If this is for a '91, why is it in the 92-00 section? Moved.
Also, no airbag so no clock spring on a '91. Also, OP should take that isht back.
