EF A/C Compressors!!
Quesation- my 89 crx si currently has a Matsushita a/c compressor, and has worked fine in the past. With most b series swaps, people who want to retain the a/c, often buy a conversion bracket that allows them to use a d series compressor on a b series engine!
I now have an Innovative a/c mount bracke, BUT, it is made for Sanden compressors.
Can i just buy the other style? Will my lines attatch the same way, correctly?
Thanks!!

As far as I know, the AC lines mount differently on the Sanden and Matsu compressors. The Lines are also routed differently. Was looking for a Matsu compressor at the junkyard a couple of weeks ago and came to the conclusion a Sanden would not work
My A/C setup on 90 DX hatch with LS swap:
- keep the original B series A/C
- Get the integra (90-93) A/C lines ends ( from JY)
- upper line fits perfect from the firewall to A/C ) .
- take off the lower line end from your car ( you just need the part from the radiator to the A/C end, you might need to drop the front bumper for more easy to work on), measure the length and figure out its shape
- Now you have the line with 2 aluminium ends , which bolds on radiator and A/C ends , you just need to custom on the A/C end only by extend the midlde rubber part, and replace the A/C end with the Integra's (it costs me about $40.00 from the profectinal hoses custom)
- it works perfect on mine !
PM me for Qs,
good luck !

^^ Amazing information, exactly what will help me out, thank you.
I guess my onnly question now is, which b series compressor do i need, or are they all the same? I have access to many different generations, so it would be good to know

There are at least 2 types of D-series ac compressors, and they are not interchangeable.
Deetz- I have a GSR compressor on my B16, it's a Denso. I would recommend getting a compressor designed for R134a so there are no conversion issues. The P72 and PR3 brackets are the same. Take the newer hoses and your old Matsushita hoses to a hydraulics shop. They can make the hybrid hoses. This is the route I went and has been working well.

I just want to thank you guys for the heads up with the information so far. I got the chance to hit up a junk yard today, and bought the DA Integra lines for $15. When the car comes back from paint, and i get everything together, i'll see exactly what needs to be modded. I will try and provide pics for others....thanks!!!!
