ITR owners are a bunch of picky ass mofos, So where ...
ITR owners are a bunch of picky *** *****, ya you heard me. So what Acura dealer do you bring your ITR for service when you have to?
I am having problems with the dealer, lots of headaches and I see some of you do too.
Please contribute the name of the dealer you find good.
I wonder if the dealer services have slipped in the past year or so (Both of my local dealers has slipped into the drain)
If the BAD outwiegh the GOOD should we complain and to whom?
hope this made some sense and will help everyone

You should try Rally Acura. The manager loves to goto autocross, he should understand our feelings a bit better than others. He was there last time when you and Marc show up!
I had a guy in Smithdown Acura saying behind my back "....owns a type-r and so ******* cheap..." because I don't feel like paying $400 to changing transmission oil, engine oil, spark plugs and plug wires.
Complain to Honda of America...about the bad service we get after us enthuasiest brought a car from their advertisment of "race car right out of the box"

Doesn't bring his ITR to a dealer. AutoWave takes care of everything for me
*edit* AutoWave is Honda/Acura certified

You forget that some of us have a warranty- free parts and labor.
And as for AutoWave- (http://ocautosites.com/Autowave/) tell them to open a shop in the NYC area!

I've already dealt with 2 warrenty issues with my R and I went back to the only Acura dealership that I've had very good luck and customer service with, BTW they also happen to be my sales dealership for Both R's.
Schaller Acura in Manchester CT.
I hate and don't trust Curry or Bedford hills. Westchester has been good so far but, I'd never leave my car there unattended.
Manchester Honda is also a very highly rated dealership that WILL perform warrenty work Even though you may have mods.
IM me if you have any questions... and you already know who does the work on my car.

I never bring my car to the dealer. When I need work done(warranty or not) I just bring my car into work and let the guys there handle it...
...oh...wait... I work at....err nevermind what I just said
Dealers rule! Shadytree mechanics drool!

i take mine to a local honda dealer that I know and trust, when i take it to the dealer.. i'm way out of warranty, so that doesn't really apply in my case..
My father and brother are mechanics. It just so happens I'm a parts guy. But when I need work on my car, I do everything myself.
Unless it's warranty work. It's just that some people get warranty work done easier than others.

I know that doen't help you in NYC. The only problem is that their car wash guy leaves swirls on the car...so I never have them wash it....other than that

Anything I can't do myself (most everything) I have done at King Motorsports. They're quite reasonable with their labor rates
20K miles and my R has not been back to the dealership once.
Everything that has happend has been been a result of something that I did, and it was easily fixed.
But yeah, buy a helms for $80 and DIY, unless it is something that obviously broke because of manu. defects. And on a Honda, you don't see many of those.

I used to take my car to Acura Carland in Duluth, GA. Really not to impressed w/ their work. I would say customer service is always friendly and courteous but their mechanics seem to be lacking. First gotta complain about the dealer "rip you a new hole" price. I hate that Acura caters to the high end market. And as a result means super inflated prices. Example, I went to buy new radiator hoses for my new Fluidyne I was going to put in. On the internet it was about 20 bucks for both. I needed them that day so I went over to the dealer because I figure the dealer cant be that much more expensive. WRONG. Them chits were 42 bucks, that's a 100% mark up. What a freakin' ripoff. I guess that need a profit margin that big in order to pay for the generic bottled water in the customer lounge!! Then I get my timing belt changed...well I start driving it around after they finish and my temp gauge steadily climbed all the way at H. Well it seem that forgot to bleed the system and had to go back for them to do it. What the hell! Then I get a simple OIL CHANGE, which they charge 30.00, and when I get home I notice my car leaking oil like a ****. I take a look at the oil pan and find that the drain plug is not even torqued down.
It was just threaded in by hand.
Just think if that plug would have come out. Man, that would have sucked.

Oh, well I guess it works out in the end, I now do all my own work and order my parts from acuraautomotiveparts.net, which ironically enough is run by ACURA CARLAND. But the dealership is probbly not going to see my *** in there again.

Rob, what you need to do/fix on your car that you have to take it back to the dealer !?
you've a place you can use and not to mention all the tools/lift.......You are the last person need to leave the car in the dealership

I know but warranty stuff has to be done by the dealer, not the consumer... so says the Acura dealer around here.
I would gladly like to diy but then I would have to pay for this stuff that falls under "FREE"...

Rob, so whats your solution?
If you want it covered by the dealership and you don't trust any of the ones near you, you can either come up North a little to one of the one's I mentioned or even one in Pougkeepsie OR go South to one that others trust. Some of these dealerships Are pretty far from you unfortunately.
The ones I mentioned, I had good dealings with and I've used my sales dealership for warrenty work already.
I am wondering what you will decide.

I've heard good things about Ramsey Acura in NJ. Also B Diddy said that Greenwich Acura in CT does good work. I think it's worth it to drive out of your way if needed to get good service.
