Default ok is this smart or not?

my friend has a 00' civic engine. he can sell it to me for a decent price, the problem is would i have to convert my car to obd 2? or the engine to non obd? can anyone help me out? or have any websites that can help? thanks in advance.

you can convert the wiring to obd2, wont be fun. youd need an obd2 harness to get connectors from. then switch everything ecu side as well as cluster etc prolly.

much easier to use 90-93 teg parts. you need :
starter
alternator
dizzy
injectors
some obd0 b16a ecu
you will still have to run wires for vtec, knock sensor, and 2nd o2 sensor. but thats much easier than rewiring everything

which 00 motor? if its single cam then use a combo of the 2 harness and use a 91 SI ecu with your 91 exuasht manifold. where you located at?

u can get it and run it with a PWO.... or convert ur car to OBDI and run it with a P72 OBDI..... or get a P28 and have it chipped... theres many ways of having it work... or get a Zdyne one wire...... just dont even consider OBDII they are diff style from OBDO and i... i tried it when i started swaping bc i had a 00 EX for parts... and it doesnt even work,

IF i were to do this. it would be a dohc vtec. so i would have to convert my car and the engine to obd 1? thanks again
