Default Motor Mount question

I have searched for the better part of the previous weekend before posting. Im getting ready to put my gsr-t (out of my 01 integra) in my 2000 civic coupe. currently it sits at 320 ish and is my daily driver. From what i have read/heard, the rear mount sends the most vibration to the cabin. Is this true? 2nd question. Is it a common practice to have a mixture of motor mounts? Here is my scenario and final question. I was thinking of keeping the rear oem mount ( from my integra) and using innovative mounts (62a street bushings) for the side mounts to stiffen the bay up but to also keep the cabin vibrations to a minimum....Does this sound like a good idea? Any help, or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

ok 96 00 civics require different mounts than a 92 95...

92 95 civics and 94 01 teg mounts interchange...96 00 is a different story. 62a is the softest available poly mounts you will find and yes the rear mount does transfer the most vibration.

99 00 si d/s post mount (use if you are going with a oem style mount)
if you are going to buy aftermarket mount kit then decide whether or not you need the 2 post or 3 bolt set up for d/s

make note that on a 96 00 the motormounts all bolt to the frame unlike the 92 95 civics and integras that the mounts bolt to the engine/trans..

you will need a bracket that bolts on top of the trans case. d series or b series will work but must be for 96 00.

rear T bracket must be a 99 00 si THE ONLY WAY TO USE THE 94 01 teg REAR T bracket is to change the subframes..you would need to put the integra subframe and rack and pinion in order to use a teg T bracket, therefore make it easy and buy the right 99 00 si t bracket.

basically what this boils down to....buy a mount kit for a 96 00...

Thanks for the responses.

Sleepyaccord96, What i was thinking about doing was using an oem rear mount (whichever is the correct one, because i want minimal vibe in the cabin. Im rational and am aware that with using stiffer mounts in other places, i will gain some vibrations, but with my motor setup, i feel it would benefit alot if i stiffened it up slightly.). I would not be opposed to use innovative's mounts for the rest as long as it wont shake my teeth out, since its a d.d. I was planning on using the 99-00 si t-bracket.

What necessitates, or determines the need between 2 bolt and 3 bolt set ups?

I just switched to hasport mounts and i left my rear mount in and only used my side mounts. The car does vibrate slightly more but just enough to be a noticeable gain in vibration. The only noise that came from the vibration was my glove box rattling but that was an easy fix.

'94 - '95 Civic EX/Si/VX and '94 - '01 Integra (all models) used a 3 post mount. Everything else used a 2 bolt setup.

Dont quote me!

Ok, so i am about to order driver side and passenger side mounts. Do i still have to run the front vibe mounts with these new side mounts?

No, but if you're trying to stiffen it up why would you want to remove a mount?

So I have been emailing back and forth (with very quick response times, which was nice) today with a rep from innovative mounts. He recommended not using an oem rear mount. He also advised i use a 75a track bushing instead of a 62a street bushing for my setup. I am wondering if he is telling me to use a different rear mount as an attempt to up sale me (which is what i think) and also i am concerned that the 75a bushing will rattle like crazy and annoy me (this is my dd, not a track car. Maybe occassional friday night drags at the strip). The reason why i am somewhat skeptical is because when i asked him to elaborate more as to why he made his recommendations, he stopped responding. Does anyone else have any input? I am looking to order mounts tomorrow or the next day.

if you're worried about vibration, keep it oem. use all 5 mounts. simple as that.
