Default Hood Help

I read on a another forum that Place Racing Mounts with a B16 Swap in an EF chassis will not allow the hood to close, I have Place Racing mounts and a b16 swap in my 91 STD, sucks for me, is there any thing I can do to try and make all of this work?, I though about shimming the hood up with washers on the hinges, but I am not to sure if this will work, does anyone have any better ideas than this. I eventually want to get a Fiber Imagescarbon fiber hood but I can't really afford this right now and I don't think that Fiber Images makes a CF ZC hood. thanks
