I wish someone would have showed me that one when I had my honda. I just had a nut welded on the pedal with a bolt thru it

haha. You want it to engage just a little after you start moving the pedal out. Its a common sense kind of adjustment.

Remove clutch switch.... insert bolt and thread in to desired stop... done.

There are instructions with the clutch or should be but turn the car off. With two people one pushing the car and you pushing the pedal slowly push the pedal down until the car starts to roll. Add 1/8-1/4" more travel and that's where the clutch needs to stop. That's best way to describ it that's what my Tilton instructions said to do years ago.

This time around with my clutch masters fx700 before welding a stop to the pedal or floor I adjusted the clutch pedal travel on the master cylinder and was able to adjust mine that way and no need a pedal stop but not all cars/ clutches are the same

If I needed a pedal stop i would have drilled a hole in the floorboard, welded a nut to the floor, put a second nut on a bolt and screwed the bolt into the first nut on the floor and used the second nut as a locking nut to hold the bolt in place so it would always have adjustability

That's not a pedal stop, it's used to prevent the clip from popping out of the throw out bearing on a pull style clutch

But theoretically you could stop the throw out fork travel which would be the same as stopping the pedal travel distance.

Ok.. I just trying to figure outnhow exactly to do this cause im on a cc twin disc.. and trying not to ruin it.. so adjusting the clutch until the engagement is kind of almost to t he floor..meaning since I not putting a stop.. getting it closest to the floor with engagement is best?

And I was there at show down and saw your crank pulley come off. Sry to that happened. . Cant believe import experts won it.. lol. Cause of the rain out.. lol

Yes that's how you adjust it. There may not be enough adjustment though and then you will need a stop

If your not using the clutch switch for full throttle shift remove it and put a bolt thru it. That's the easiest way of doing a pedal stop.

We just welded a nut to the pedal. Here's what it should look like getting installed. Hahaha

Putting a bolt through the clutch switch hole is the WRONG way for a clutch stop...you dont want to push the throw out bearing into the pressure plate..

I believe the pic the OP posted is of a EVO trans anyways and that piece is to stop the clutch fork from coming back too far/too fast and causing the snap ring to pop loose since they use a pull style setup.

EDIT: Didn't realize this was already pointed out in post #12.

That's exactly what it is. On quick and hard shifts the clip comes off.
