Hi

My srs light in my 98 civic hatch won't go off. I tried the paper clip memory reset and it goes off until. I turn off the engine. When I start the car again it stays on. Any suggestions? I tried disconnecting the battery but that did nothing.

Also are trailing arm bushings and rear brakes inspected during a safety? Brakes work but the rear drums and shoes are very rusty.

maybe try pulling the code's they don't just come on for no reason if you haven't fixed anything why would it go out ?. and yes brakes/bushings are part of a safety

 

What province are you in? An SRS light wont fail you in NB and I think NS and PEI are the same. It probably will in Ontario or BC though.
