Need help determining my ride height
hey everyone. first post, but long time lurker. i got this hatch about 5 months ago. and it's no where near perfect. i have a list of things for it and one of those things is new suspension, currently it's bouncy as hell. it's got coilovers on the front and currently they are dropped all the way down. and the rear is unknown, but they're not coilovers.
i don't have a way to compare to stock ride height, so when i go to buy new struts and springs, i'm not sure what to get, because i want to maintain the current drop at least, but i'd like to drop it just a tad lower (maybe 1/2" in the front and a full inch in the rear)
so, anyone know about how many inches of drop i have? thanks a bunch!

I'd guess you have about a 3" drop in the front and 1.544444" drop in the rear. Lol, you'll need coilovers in order to drop the front an additional 1/2". And at that slammed a height, you'll need at least 12k front spring rates and 10k rears.
damn... so i need coilovers to get that much a drop. i was hoping there were a way to just run really really slow struts and spring. :/ any good ones for maybe... $550-$650? this is my first honda and my first lowered car. everything i know about suspension, is jeeps. lol
In that price range, you have these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/CXRacing-92-96-Honda-Civic-EG-Coilover-Suspension-Kit-/180708018480?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a13098930&vxp=mtr
But you'll also need to get your hands on some forks for the front because the diameter of the coilover's body differs from your civic's. You can source those from a 92-95 civic.

i've been doing some research and it's sounding like the koni yellows, with ground control's coilover sleeve and extended top hats. from what i've read, people can get up to 3.5 inch drop with that set up. which is about right where i wanted to be. or maybe 3 1/4 might be more reasonable.
another question. in the pics i'm running 205/45/15. once it's as low as i want it, what tire size do you recommend? i'm pretty much at the limits right now, can't even get a finger under the wheel arch. never rub though so how.
and is rolling the fenders something i might have to do at this much drop? i'd really like to not have the camber all stanced out, since it's a part time DD (i have to DDs)
