car sitin side ways
i got a pretty aggressively dropped 97 ek hatch and i had it drop for a while now. my passanger side (more the front then rear) of the car is lower then drivers side and im wondering y this is? few of my opinions r: i need an alignment (cuzz i never had one), need a camber kit, need new shocks (but the ride is not bumpy) or the place i got my car dropped might have juss put the left lower then the right by mistake. on yea just to let ya kno, i got cut tein springs on the backs and coilovers on the fronts. so id like to kno ur opinions. thanks.

Whoa whoa whoa back the trolley up there buddy.
First of all, you didn't get an alignment after a drop.
Second, you CUT springs and put them on?
Third, you have regular springs (not to mention cut) on the back and coilovers on the front?
Were you desparate about a drop and short on money or something dude? That is the most ghetto suspension I've ever read of so far. Try seeing if the front right coilover is adjusted lower than the driver front. Could be a high possibility. But damn dude, get that setup straightened out lol.

Re: (amej8)
My opinion? get some non-ghettoed out suspension.
Get a decent shock and some H&R's or eibachs.
Don't go cheap on you're suspension man. You're leading yourself into Thousands of dollars in damage to suspension/brake/wheel/tires just by rising on a **** drop without an alignment.

Alignment won't fix ride height. You installed something wrong.
Bump stops maybe?

Re: car sitin side ways (6E1K9)
hahah i kno it sounds ghetto but i really waznt tryna do that i did the whole tein springs n it didnt drop to where i wanted to....even the dude at the shop waz suprised that it didnt drop that much, so i had them cut them (since theyre recutable). the bacc ones were fine, but the front ones were cut TOOOOOO low. so i bought sum coilovers and rasied the front a bit and left the baccs on.

Re: (envee)
heard that was normal becuase the driver side is heavier than the passenger, the motor is substantially heavier than the transmisson,
why did you expletive up tein springs? are they teins or are they ebay "teins"
dont cut springs, go get some kyb adustables and go get some springs again, do the washer trick and go get an alighnment
knock out everything at once

Re: (spork motorsports)
if the driver side is heavier, wouldnt the driver side be lower then the passanger? mines the other way around. and they're real teins, ordered them from a local shop. they just didnt drop to where i wanted them to and they are recutable...so i did it. the ride is fine, not bumpy or hard at all. just passanger side is lower then the drives side.

Re: (6E1K9)
Cut springs or cheap springs with too agressive of a drop will blow out even good shocks in a hurry. Dont cheap out with ebay coil-overs cuz they will do the same thing. IMO if you want a decent ride with a drop, go with eibach sportlines and konis. Looks good, and rides firm but nice. If you want all out performance, go with a reputable coil-over, but be prepared to spend $. And always, ALWAYS get an alignment any time you even mess with your suspension. Camber kits are a good investment.

Re: (chansaephanh)
You need an agressive shock paired with Ground control coilovers or H&R race springs/neuspeed race springs.
I recommend Tokico illuminas and Koni yellows.
