Default Transmission HELP

Okay I have a b16a2 civic si, I have a gsr transmission in it now and I bought a new Trans for it. The one I got is a itr tranny. My speed sensor out of the gsr wouldn't fit for some reason. Also do I need to have a obd2 sensor? And will the Itr tranny even work with my obd2 civic?

The old sensor never worked that's why I bought a new one, and then the sensor wouldn't fit down into the itr tranny but fit in the gsr tranny. I don't understand

It should have. They're both the same, unless it's an OBD1 VSS in the GS-R tranny, but even then it fits and works the same.

No, OBD1 works just fine.

Yes.

Why did you swap the diff? The ITR has a much better LSD diff. Did you swap the ring gear as well? Did you shim the diff or at least check the clearance?

No difference in speed. The gearing is the same (unless it's a '98+ JDM ITR), but the ITR diff is a helical LSD, GS-R is just an open diff (or viscous LSD for some JDM versions)

In any case they use the same speedo and same speedo gear. Unless it was an aftermarket LSD that uses a proprietary VSS gear (some do, Wavetrac I think? Is like that)

Make sure he kept the original ring gear on the new diff or it's going to whine.
