Like the title says I have a y8 block and a z6 head all stock and wanted to know what was need to make it run right in my 91 hatch. I'm also using my si intake manifold. A parts list would help out a lot.

 

Also the Block and head are split so I also wanted to know what would be needed for them to work properly

 

umm... pretty sure if you look in the FAQ, there is a write up on how to do this type of head swap. it's basically a mini me.

then look up how to convert your obd0 car to obd1.

Non vtec engines have oil control jet on the block located between head and block vtec engines the oil control jet is in the head. So a d16a6 head and y8 block equals No oil control jet. Combo will still work but why not just get a y8 vtec head? Wont have to deal with making sure the compressions right and probably a different timing belt. Good luck tho bro!
