Hey there honda techs,
I must first day thanks for all the great work that yall have done. I have referred to this site for many of my own repairs and have not been let down yet!

I now have a problem that i can not find a solution for and am stumped. My 93 civic (d16z6 stock) will not turn on the dash lights or running light when i turn my selector **** on the steering column. The head lights come on, high and low beams, as well as the (i think they are called) cluster lights. My turn signals blink and my brake lights come on when i hit the brakes and the radio works.
I have checked all the fuses and they are all good and have taken the selector **** apart and cleaned and greased all the contacts. When i took the selector **** apart i checked for continuity between the plates and the males ends and all were beeping. I dont think this has anything to do with it but i recently had to buy and install a new ignition switch.

Didn't see where you mentioned checking any fuses.

 

Yes i have checked all the fuses. I have not checked the voltage on any of the fuses though.

 

Thanks everybody, i figured out the problem- it was the fuse i was looking at the wrong one from the start but good news i now have a multimeter.

 

It seems to alway be the simplest thing. Sometimes it's good to just get new eyes on it or take a break. That's what I do.
