ac compressor clutch coil failed again
The ac was not working and found that the clutch coil was bad. Replaced it and it worked fine for a day, about 3 hours of driving. what could cause the coil to fail? I didn't check pressures after the coil was replaced. I am thinking of replacing it again but would like some hope that I can figure out what is causing the coil to fail. What should I check after I replace it?
The only idea I have is that I hit a dog about a month ago and the condenser was slightly bent and this is restricting flow or reducing cooling causing the compressor to run longer and overheating the coil

I solved my problem. I feel so stupid. When I put the coil in, I did not fully set the split ring that holds it in place. It slipped out and rubbed against the clutch and cut into it. I even had problems getting the second coil to lock in place. I would try to gently pry the coil up and the split ring would not hold. I finally had to tap the split ring down into the slot with a punch and hammer.
The first time i did it on the car. The second time I had the compressor on the bench.
