Default Converter solenoid

Alright so since ive had the car there is a wire that comes out of it but cant find where it would plug up to, its no where to be found. Is there any way to manually turn it on by just putting a flip switch or something on it? Or what should i do? Its destroying my gas mileage.

What car do you have?
Is your check engine light on?

Sounds like your oxygen sensor, but need more info to be sure

out of curiousity, is there a set of green/black and yellow/black wire with a bullet connectors just sitting there un plugged? the wire for the torque converter lock up goes to the passenger shock tower. some one may have swapped engine harness's though.
