Yes you can make a D15B7 have Vtec. Did you search at all? You use a D16Z6 head or a D16Y8 head and head gasket and you will need to have a ECU to run Vtec like a tuned P28. The B15B7 with a Z6 head and OEM 3 layer head gasket has a compression of something like 15:1 just so you know, that is way high. Vitara pistons will put you at just under 10:1 which is much safer and better for a DD. 15:1 will require something other than pump gas.

 

If you go to google and type D15b7 vtech or "mini me" there will be forum threads with step by step instructions on converting a motor.

 

No it does not. 10.22:1 A Vitara setup will net you 6.78:1.
