Default Running rough after ecu change?? Please help

Hey guys just put an h22a4 in my 94 SI running a p14 I left the p14 for a month and car ran perfect so i bought a p13 for vtec got it all hooked up and it runs like **** until I get into higher rpms when I press the hass it hesitates and then once I hit 3000 it runs smooth vtec works etc. when I'm trying to rev up too it like backfires hesitating then eventually runs fine. It idols normal and everything so when I give it a little gas it's acting up. Note I am using my h23a1 injectors if that makes any difference. Plugs from the h22a4 didn't fit the injectors I assume I could splice the wires to work. Thanks in advanced

Im pretty sure h23a1 injectors are smaller then the vtec h22a4. I know for a fact there different compression ratio's and if your using same ecu without a flash tune your running lean....... I would get a different ecu and have tuned ASAP! Dont go into the higher revs until done, your possibly damaging your engine for no reason. Im 100% percent this is the reason for your problems. Your ecu mapping has to be tailored to fit your exact engine. Ecu's are NOT swap plug n' play unless 100% stock engine and your just replacing it with exact same ecu... You can splice the wires or you can find jumper cables to let you use the proper injectors for cheap. Hope this helps!

You need obd1 h22a1 vtec injectors. I know for a fact that f22a1 base model injectors will not work at all, they will run lean and your car will run like ****. I'm guessing the h23a1 injectors won't work with the p13 either as they have different base maps. You could use the p12 ecu with the h22a1 injectors because they will run rich instead of lean. Lean is bad, rich is not good either but it's not as bad.

The only thing is I'm not so sure the h22a1 injectors will fit into that a4 rail. You might need to use your p14 fuel rail if it will fit.
