I recently bought a 2000 Civic and I noticed that the driver's side sun visor is hard to move compared to the passenger side. Is there something that can be done to the visor or will it need to be replaced?

The stiffness seems to be coming from the chrome mounted support going into the visor, not the plastic clip that holds it in. Any input is appreciated.

 

Wondering why you haven't unbolted it (two screws) and checked? You didn't say.

 

Just got the car.

I've been doing actual research and saw many recommendations on oiling the rod. Might give that a try, Though I was just wondering if there was a common problem and if there was an easy remedy.

 

Wd-40 does wonders.
