Default D series fuel pumps?

do they varie in flow capabilities from one to another for example would a fuel pump for a mpfi be stronger than a fuel pump from a dpfi or maybe the other way around idk. also for example (same question) for D15 D16 D17 are the pumps the same or are the larger displacement ones pump harder

the part number is the same for both the std model and the si models from honda:
17708-SH3-A42

there's this too that talks all about it:

http://www.hondatuningmagazine.com/f..._fuel_systems/

whats the real question you're trying to ask? are you trying to build your car? having fuel issues?

edit: did some googling, looks like they're actually about 70lph

ahhh gotcha, i believe the crx hf uses 190cc injectors while everything else mpfi uses 240cc injectors. i'm curious what you mean by tinker? like better fuel economy?

ahh it could both ways economy or power i guess depending on who else reads this thread. the thought came up the last time i was at the yard and past on getting what i needed for a mpfi conversion. i found myself walking back and forth from a eg and crx trying to decided what intake and throttle body to start with. not knowing for sure which was better. Y8 intake would be nice ofcourse maybe an f22 fuel rail and d17 injectors idk im a car guy so it just snowballed from there you know what i mean

yeah i hear ya. go with a 92+ intake manifold, z6 is preferable. it flows better than the a6 one, and has more options for throttle bodies. your fuel consumption is all set and modded through the ecu, so that's the best place to start tinkering, although do it at your own risk

92+ gotchya but what car or motor (<-words used by noobs) i was thinking of finding a y8 intake some would say over kill and i can agree switching from dual point but in the future i want to go z6 and this way i would already have have the intake of choice. untill then i would use the y8 intake with a pinhole of a throttle body for economy. any advice on that pinhole of a throttle body?. also could i use the y8 fuel rail and injectors as is. as long as i have the right ecu controlling it all?

Isn't the Y8 manifold the mini ITR manifold?
z6 is like an updated A6 manifold

You sound like you plan to use a tiny throttle body.
Unless you tune the ECU then the tb won't work all that great.
The ECU will want to dump gas in while the tps turns. You will run rich, lowering efficiency, lowering performance and mpg

looking at wiki most if not all d15's with mpfi are obd 1 the d15b6 the hf motor to my knowledge. is the only one to use mpfi and stay obd 0. does that mean with that setup i would not have to change ecu's? but mostl likely i would im pretty sure. but that puts an end to my question does dpfi or mpfi get better mpg. its mpfi or hf has mpfi and the engine itself is engineered differently.
