Are OEM muffler style the same for all EF years?
Are stock muffler the same for all EF years 88-91? I have an 89 civic Si and want to check if a single exhaust tip (DX) from ordinary EF will fit?
I'm talking about the rear section only with the muffler.
Thanks

I think I've heard that the exit on the sedan mufflers were longer. If you put a Civic/CRX muffler on a sedan the tips won't end at the bumper, it will be underneath.
different part numbers.
The CRX door end where the wheel well opening starts, very short wheelbase.
The hatch has about 1.5ft longer section, longer wheelbase. Also, the tailpipe section on the CRX is shorter.
But you can make one work with some welding fabrication, extensions

That distance is made up by the pipe that is between the muffler and header, (aka b-pipe or mid-pipe) . He's only asking about the muffler.

siik i asked about dual tips a while back and never got an answer. this one kind of looks like its set up how the crx is set up. the last time i was at the yard i compared the crx and a ED sedan like mine. it didnt look like the rubber hangers didn't line. will this set up work on my ED sedan?

The hb and crx are too short for the sedan but as said above the integra one will fit. Check out Robs 1988 sedan to see his dual tip in his car. I want to say his came from a 92 Integra GS-R
Ok thanks a lot for the replies.
We checked out the DX single tip muffler and it didn't fit. I think the piping on 89 Si is 2.5" and the DX is 2" only.
We will check the DA and Crx ones.

stock for stock it should fit. i have an oem sir exhaust on my hatch, also used it on my sedan, fit like a charm, all i had to do was extend the tips out about eight inches. si's might have a slightly larger diameter, i don't know for sure though.
